To be continued soon...

...even it's more important than ever before: what is the truly maure life-affirming culture?

(looking at the BAFTA film Anora yesterday - not very good, but so interesting in that behind the in-your-face  shock value attempt in fact the same old original ways of storytelling - the basic structures, haven't changed much)

Sorry, there is objective reality: Eleanor Oliphant, sorry, isn't 'completely fine'.

Anyone who has deep-dived into two Solzhenitsyns is hungry, even if silent. And there is so much stodge out thre. But I have a lifetime of searching out what isn't.

Solzhenitsyn did help us understand the grimmer side of humanity.

And (omission from scrappy lists ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_the_Right_Thing was a magnificent thing (by a 30 year old, too) which grappeled with universal cruelty and the 'pecking order' in a way that even I had missed first time watching some years ago.
